She received an Oscar for the role of the muse of Shakespeare himself. Lovely homely pretty girls – this is the role in which we are used to seeing Gwyneth. There are, however, rare exceptions. Let’s try to take a tour of the film biography of the actress.
Make the right choice
The wife of an ambitious young police officer, Tracy, cannot get used to the new place. In this city, for some reason, the rain often cries, which is already sick of it, and the walls of their apartment are constantly shaking – the “subway” line passes very close by. And most importantly, there is no close person nearby to whom you can open your soul. The husband is too keen on a new investigation, and she so needs to consult – is it worth having a child, because this huge scary world awaits him … She finds a person who can advise her future mother – strange, but this is her husband’s partner, tomorrow’s pensioner Somerset (a wonderful role Morgan Freeman). She does not yet know that the terrifying world Tracy has prepared a terrible surprise for her. The noir thriller Seven is one of Fincher’s finest films, and Gwyneth Paltrow is fortunate enough to play the main (and almost only) female role in it.
The vicissitudes of fate
Two versions of the same fate are presented in the melodrama Beware! Doors are closing”. It all depends on the little thing: will the attractive blonde Helen have time to jump on the subway train? If yes, then she will “face to face” face the betrayal of her beloved, if not, the truth will be hidden from her (for the time being).
Another joke of Fortuna is told in the melodrama “Another’s Ticket”. Ben Affleck’s hero did a disservice to a casual passer-by by giving him his seat on the plane (he was in a hurry to visit his family). Take the liner and crash! And now Buddy is suffering – after all, he unwittingly pushed the guy to death! Maybe meeting his widow will help make amends?
Wealthy traitor and adventurous aristocrat
Paltrow’s heroine faces a dilemma in the crime thriller Perfect Murder. She has a successful husband, money, and a love affair. But family well-being is under threat: Emily met a handsome artist, and a passionate romance began. Everything would be fine – you never know the spouses have been cheating on each other for years – but the husband (Michael Douglas) found out about the affair. There is no way he can lose Emily. And not because he is so strongly attached to her: he needs his wife’s capital because his own business is on the verge of collapse. What should be done? Or maybe become an inconsolable widower and heir?
Young Viola dreams of an acting career. But how to implement plans – after all, only men can shine on the stage (the action takes place in the 16th century). The girl dresses up in a man’s dress and storms the stage. “Shakespeare in Love” collected 7 Academy Awards, and one of the figurines went to Gwyneth Paltrow.
Loving and faithful
The writer Marge is quite happy with life: she has a charming fiancé with whom they settled in a piece of paradise in Italy. But then a cloud descends on the Mediterranean coast – in the form of an inconspicuous young man who has arrived from the States. Tom was sent by the father of the rich Dickie: the industrial tycoon who wants to return his son to his homeland. The guy is quietly rubbing himself into the confidence of Marge’s fiancé and is about to stand between them. However, Dicky is tired of the “new toy” and wants to erase the annoying Tom from his life. But Tom is already accustomed to the warm place of a rich man’s friend! The Talented Mr. Ripley is Minghella’s masterpiece that can be watched endlessly. True, it is contraindicated for action lovers: the action develops slowly and smoothly.
In recent years, many people associate the actress with Pepper Potts – after all, the role of the dexterous, agile, loyal, and loving Assistant tycoon Tony Stark from the Iron Man franchise has been remarkably successful for the performer. Moreover, with each new part of the series, the image of Pepper was more and more multifaceted, and Gwyneth’s screen time increased.
