One of the most darling entertainers to at any point show up on screen is Ingrid Bergman. From her first roles before she could speak English to some of the best movies ever made, a scandal that would have killed most careers to a comeback that saw her loved by her fans once more. from “Casablanca” to “A Lady Called Golda”, Bergman kept us bolted. She achieved plenty, but one of her outstanding achievements was her history of winning Academy awards. She has etched out a place that only three other actors can compare, having won three Oscars. Katharine Hepburn, along with fellow three-time Oscar winners Walter Brennan, Jack Nicholson, and Meryl Streep, was the only person to surpass Bergman with four Oscars. In addition, Bergman was given a lot more work, keeping her in the running for a Foundation Grant from the time she came to America in the 1940s until her death on August 29, 1982.

Her achievements

Several critically acclaimed American and European films and television shows starred Swedish actress Ingrid Bergmans. The Song of Bernadette

She got an Oscar for Best Actress, but Jennifer Jones beat her to the award for “The Song of Bernadette”. This was the first of her three successive academy award nominations. Along with Gaslight, a mystery-thriller movie released in the United States in 1944, and “The Bells of St. Mary’s”. Her performance in Gaslight earned her the first of her two foundation grants for Best Entertainer, as well as her most illustrious Brilliant Globe (for best Entertainer – film drama)  resulting from her first of eight possible designations and four accomplishments. Her performance as Gladys Aylward in the British war film “The Inn” of the Sixth Happiness earned her international recognition. She was up for a BAFTA for best foreign actress for this role, but Simone Signoret won it for Room at the Top. She also gained popularity in Italy as a result of her performance in Europe, an Italian neorealist film for which she won the Nastro d’Argento award for Best Actress. She was given five Bambi Grants in Germany, and in 1976, she was given a privileged César in France.

Murder on the Orient Express

Out of five nominations, she had already won two academy awards by the 1970s. She went on to win “Murder on the Orient Express”, a film based on the Agatha Christie novel of the same name, for which she also won her first and only BAFTA. This round, she won for the third period. She was likewise assigned two times more. Autumn Sonata earned her first Oscar nomination for a Swedish-language film. She was nominated for Best Foreign Actress at her second David di Donatello, but Jane Fonda came out on top for Coming Home. For her profession in acting, she received three Academy Awards, including two for Best Actress and one for Best Supporting Actress. She is tied for second place in terms of Oscar wins with Walter.
