In her youth, Stone won the catwalks of Paris and Milan as a model, and then moved to New York and began to conquer the film industry. The film “Basic Instinct” became the actress’s calling card and brought her worldwide fame. In total, Sharon has more than 360 works in films, TV shows, and dubbing. We suggest looking at some of her works.

Total Recall, 1990

It is strange, of course, that there are people who live and do not know that in the history of Hollywood cinema there have been excellent adaptations of the classics of science fiction, in which the scenery and other attributes, for example, of Martian life, were not created on a computer. In 1990, Paul Verhoeven’s film “Total Recall”, based on Philip Dick’s novel “We Will Recall Everything for You,” was released. The main role in it was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger – yes, then he was an actor, not a politician. In the prime of his life – strong and courageous – Arnie embodied the image of a special agent whose memory was erased using a special technology. And so that the one who knew too much suddenly did not do something, he was assigned a pseudo-wife. She was played by Sharon Stone. For the actress, this was one of her first major projects. Before Total Recall, Sharon tried her hand at serials and played minor or cameo roles. An excellent atmospheric action movie, individual shots of which will be remembered for something light and kindly funny.

Basic Instinct, 1992

Director Paul Verhoeven enjoyed working with the former model. Therefore, he decided to try on Sharon the image of the aggressively sexy writer Catherine Tramell, suspected of the murder of rock star Johnny Bose. The detective investigating this case was played by Michael Douglas. According to the plot, a passionate romance is tied up between them, which, of course, interferes with the course of business. The result is a cult film, not just a thriller. A role in “Basic Instinct” brought Stone worldwide fame, helped by critics of the tape, which were considered too outspoken and propagandizing violence. After the film’s release, Stone received a Golden Globe nomination but did not win. But her acting talent was noted by the MTV Movie Awards committee. There is no point in retelling the plot of “Basic Instinct”, it is better to see with your own eyes this stylish provocative film in the spirit of its time.

“The Fast and the Dead”, 1995

Finally, the role of the femme fatale was assigned to Sharon Stone after the role in the western of Sam Raimi. The film itself is very interesting from the point of view of the purity of the genre, a classic for American cinema. Brutal, dusty, with chases and gunfire – “The Fast and the Dead” is not as dynamic as the mass audience would like. In addition, in 1987, a film of the same name was released on American screens, but with a completely different plot. In short, critics appreciated, and over time, this picture of Sam Raimi became an example of cool stylization and cinematography. Stone played the main role in the film – the mysterious, detached Ellen, who comes to the shooting tournament in the city, enslaved by the famous bandit, to avenge the death of her father. And although according to the script, Sharon was not supposed to seduce anyone, she looks very sexy in the tape with her restraint and inaccessibility. Also starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, and other wonderful cowboys.

“Casino”, 1995

Continuation of Martin Scorsese’s creative search in the genre of gangster films starring Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, and Joe Pesci. In the story, Sam Rothstein, a gambler, with the permission of the mafia bosses, becomes the director of a casino in Las Vegas. He is helped by an old friend and famous racketeer Niki Santoro. And everything would be fine if not for love. Sam meets the elite prostitute Ginger, whom he marries. The casino director entrusts her with all his secrets and the key to the safe with a lot of money. The role of a beautiful woman, but with numerous vices and weaknesses, was played by Sharon Stone. After the divorce from Sam’s windy wife, the world of crime is becoming more and more addictive. The FBI begins to follow him. And the ex-wife suddenly becomes the mistress of his best friend … If you have watched at least one Scorsese film on a gangster theme, you will like “Casino”.

“Broken Flowers”, 2005

The 2000s began for Sharon Stone with a serious illness. After a subarachnoid hemorrhage, the actress recovered for several years and took a break from work. Stone proved to be a real fighter and returned to the screens in 2003. Broken Flowers, a comedy-drama film by the cult American director Jim Jarmusch, became one of her brightest works of this period. The tape won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. Jarmusch made a road movie about a womanizer who is no longer young and alone. One day Don Johnston (Bill Murray) receives a letter with information that he, they say, has an adult son somewhere, eager to meet with his parent. And since the message was anonymous, Don has to go from house to house of his former lovers to find out which of them wrote to him. Stone plays one of them, the first woman Don knocks on the door. A sad, wise, philosophical film with gentle humor and an excellent cast.
