American rapper from Indiana, currently based in Southern California.

Freddie Gibbs was the first rapper from Gary, Indiana to sign a major label deal, Interscope Records. However, their collaboration was not particularly successful: his first album was never released. After signing a contract in 2006, Gibbs moved to Los Angeles, where he recorded his debut album, but a year later, the label changed and the rapper was asked to leave.

Freddie Gibbs has worked with renowned producers such as Red Spyda, Just Blaze, Buckwild, Alchemist, Polow Da Don, and Collipark, among many others. Freddie Gibbs considers himself a follower of Houston rap and Pac, which is reflected in his ability to combine eerily tense street stories of violence against the backdrop of comedy tales of women and marijuana.

His skill, wit, and dedication to the street make Freddie Gibbs a true artist. He is ready to represent Gary, the Midwest, and anyone involved with street life. As Freddie Gibbs says: “For some people, my music is, of course, gangster shit. But this is what I was raised on and what I saw. How can I talk about anything else? “

Over the eleven years of his career, Freddie has released more than ten mixtapes and 5 successful EPs that have received many accolades from critics and ordinary listeners.
