Christopher Michael Pratt was born on June 21, 1979, in Virginia, Minnesota, and grew up in Lake Stevens, Washington, the son of Katie Pratt and Dan Pratt. His father is of Norwegian, Swiss-German, and French-Canadian descent, while his mother is entirely Norwegian.
In 2000, Pratt was waiting for a free table at the seafood restaurant Bubba Gump when she was spotted by actress and director Rae Dong Chong and invited to star in her horror short, Damn Part III. It was followed by an invitation to the telenovela “The Hunter”.
In 2003, Chris made his big-screen debut in the action movie Extreme Team about national security agents.
