Who was Avicii?
Tim Berling known as Avicii was a regular teenager from Stockholm, Sweden. He started working with music and gradually rose to the top becoming one of the most famous DJs in the world with many tracks reaching the top of the billboards. Sadly his legacy ended at the age of 28 when he tragically died on the 20th of April 2018 after committing suicide with a broken wine bottle with the real reason for death being the loss of too much blood.

True Story is a film made about Tim Berling’s life, his career, his rise and fall, and his rebirth. It was shot over the time of 4 years and displayed the devastating moments of Tim’s life, exhaustion, stress, and illness that he had from touring, The story is made from the inside of his life with exclusive behind-the-scenes action and material provided by people close to him and his family. The movie covers his path and growth, his way to becoming one of the world’s most renowned DJs with a huge fanbase.
This film marks the anniversary of Avicii’s death and is directed by Levan Tsekurishvili who says that he had a deep bond with Avicii and had met him shortly before starting to direct the film.
The film also starred celebrities like David Guetta, Tiesto, Wyclef Jean, Nile Rodgers, Chris Martin, and Laidback Luke.
The film was released in theaters in LA and New York on the 14th and 21st of December and was available on Netflix on December 28th.
